Because of his hand injury, he has to be propped up on his elbow, so they are a fair bit closer than they would normally be. "Did you sleep well?" he asks, hoping that he's now fully awake and feeling better. There's unfinished food on the table, and there is a large bathtub with the warmest, fluffiest towels.
