The explanation of the ship's power source though- the ship itself has a core?! He's... he's going to have to consider that one for a while. Where would you find a core strong enough to power an entire ship through the stars? And if they found someone with a core that strong, they'd have to give it willingly, there's no way someone with a core that strong wouldn't be able to fight off anyone who tried to take it.
One can almost see the wheels struggling to turn as he takes in these new ideas and considers how they'd apply in the real world. But if Shepard keeps throwing these nonsense words at him, he's going to need to start his own dictionary just to decipher them. Turian, Eezo, Voltage, Lightspeed? She was definitely explaining the wrong words on purpose! Chemicals he could understand, obviously you could make all kinds of fire or explosives with the right combinations, but how was he supposed to make sense of the other things?!
