"Yeah, it's interstellar flight, it's gonna come with a little technical jargon," Sarcasm is Shepard's mother-tongue, and she speaks it with a native's fluidity. But he looks so angry and confused, she relents a little, "Look, if I had a spaceship here, I could just show you. But since we don't, let's just say it's got a big strong engine that makes it go fast. Okay?"

Surely anyone can understand that much. Besides it had the benefit of being true; the Normandy's core was the largest ever made, for its relative size, and all that power made her one of the fastest ships out there, stealth capabilities aside. Abruptly, Shepard missed her ship with an ache that was nearly physical, like a stone lodged under her lungs. Ugh.
