[ Sam has, for the most part, been fairly at ease in all of this. Outdoor survival comes naturally to him, by this point, and it's better than being in the hotel. There's been an undercurrent of wariness from the moment he first saw - and asked about - Mad March, but, well. Either the guy's just there to get their hackles up or he's going to spring up on him at some point, there's not much he can do about it at the moment.
It's not like he's happy about this shit, or about how long it's going on, but compared to so of the other things the hotel has thrown at them - you know what, he'll take it. Sharing emotions isn't exactly something he's unfamiliar with, even if he's used to it being a hell of a lot more voluntary. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't deliberately focusing on the work of making camp and cooking food, or practicing his breathing exercises a little more often than usual during down time, trying to keep his emotions in check. He might be used to it, but Damon isn't, and he's trying to be respectful.
He's ended up sticking pretty close to Damon, for obvious reasons. Once they started being able to stretch how far they could be physically separated from each other, he sure as hell didn't push when the guy needed space, but, well. In the same physical space or not, he could still feel the other's emotions almost as if they were his.
And more than emotions, it's starting to seen, considering Sam's starting to pick up a faint edge of hunger. ]
I've still got some stuff I stole from that picnic, if you want any.
FOR DAMON
