Then he lifts his wings and repeats the motion, too slowly to actually give him lift. "Do you see that when you move them together all like this," he says, "the feathers move together to cut through the wind, but then when you lift for the backstroke," he says, moving his fingers through his feathers to show Wei Wuxian the direction of the wind. "The air will pass through like this, keeping you in flight."
