[When the world goes silent, there's a confused look on Kiara's face. She doesn't freak out, she doesn't yell, she mostly keeps her composure, aside from raising a brief eyebrow at the sudden quiet. It's not the worst she's been through, not by a long shot, but it's still incredibly strange.
What does strike her as strange, and gets a frown to appear on her face is the staff insisting that she's always been like this. She knows that's not right, wondering why they would try such a thing. It's not particularly enjoyable and seems a bit strange to happen after that introduction from the Queen.
Still, she figures she can make the most of this. Just because she can't hear and doesn't have any better idea what's going on than anyone else doesn't mean she can't try and make the most of this confusion. After all, despite being at a disadvantage, it's still her duty to help people, so she'll try and assist, asking people either aloud if they need help or via the text on the Empathy. She'll try and make it clear that she can't hear them, but there's bound to be some sort of misunderstandings here and there.]
[B – It's Like a Maze In Here]
[In the middle of that mess, she'll spy something peculiar. A strange sign, not for one of the places in the hotel she's been to. Maybe it has something to do with their current predicament? Or maybe it's just a wild goose chase, she's really not sure since the thing seems to move every time she gets to it. Then again, nothing is really staying still around here anymore, so she supposes she shouldn't be too annoyed at this one.]
Still, it's rather frustrating.
[She'll just take a moment to collect herself and smooth out her robe a little while she tries to see where the sign went. She might not be able to hear her attempts at keeping her cool, but it's force of habit (one more strike against the staff for saying she's always been like this).]
Please tell me you've noticed it too.
[She'll turn to ask whoever's around. If they've lost their vision, she'll speak. If they've lost their hearing, she'll try to text. Hopefully one of those works.]
I'm sure what this Rabbit Hole is, but I haven't seen anything besides the sign yet. Have you?

[After all that, Kiara can be found in the lobby, adjusting to having her hearing back. She's still got the same serene expression as always, but her fingers are clenched against the armrests of the chair she's sitting on. She'll be fine soon enough, but it's still all a bit much. Still, she figures this is a better middle ground than the silence of her room or the din of the casino.]
I suppose I was wrong and the teas weren't the worst to worry about.
[Her expression shifts into a more melancholy one. She can admit she thought wrong there. She's only human after all, so mistakes are to be expected. Still, she hopes this isn't going to be a common occurrence around here. Or at least that it's done in a way she finds more enjoyable next time.]
