"Mmm?!" his lips clamp shut in a very familiar and not altogether pleasant way, unable to slip a word between them. His hand comes up to his mouth in shock, trying to verify that it really is the spell he thinks it is.

Why would anyone put Lan Zhan's silencing spell in a tea? he tries to yell, but it only comes out as, "Mmm mm mmm hrmmmm!?!"

As if his mouth isn't loud enough, his body language is practically screaming in offended frustration as he stamps his foot and balls his fists at his sides.
