He turns so that his back is to the fire and he is facing Lan Wangji. He takes another long drink from the jar and when he lowers it he nods enthusiastically.

"I'm ready to listen, Lan Zhan. Are you going to read the whole book to me?"

He isn't sure he could last through all of them but he is willing to listen for as long as Lan Wangji is willing to read.
