Lan Zhan feels solid and real in front of him, his easy affection addicting. His husband isn't always so free with it in public, but today of all days, Wei Wuxian is pretty sure it's expected. They've gone through every bit of ceremony, greeted friends and visitors alike, and raised their lantern in renewal of old vows while they rang in new.
He smiles against each touch, content to enjoy the moonlight, but the idea of spending the rest of the night in private with with new husband was something he simply couldn't ignore. He'd promised Lan Zhan a late night and an early morning, if he still remembered that wager in the woods, and while he wasn't always good at keeping them, Wei Wuxian had a feeling Lan Zhan would be disappointed if he didn't make good on it(and well, yes so would Wei Wuxian).
"I think it's only right we end the night with sneaking out, since that's what got us here in the first place," he grins, recalling that night, faded by the warmth of memory; just a couple of foolish kids, fighting under the moonlight.
