THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT

Does anything in this hotel ever stay put? Those who go looking for the gym, the hotel spa, or the nightclub are out of luck one day, as they're simply no longer there. The hallways themselves go topsy-turvy, only staying put when one looks directly at them. For those who've been here long enough to have seen the last time the hotel shifted like this and remember how unhelpful the hotel staff were — it seems little there has changed. The only difference is the manner in which they are useless. They will acknowledge the shifting hallways, of course, and even provide direction back to the lobby, but profess they are much too busy to provide an escort.

Eventually, the hallways settle. Gone are The Caucus-Race, the Pearls Within, and the Rabbit Hole in favor of new amenities. Where once there was a gym, there's now an indoor playground. The nightclub has been replaced with an arcade, and the spa is now a massive movie theater. Were there always quite so many kids items on the restaurant menus? When did This Elegant Thimble get such a large children's section?

If asked, the hotel staff will shrug. Some will insist things have been this way for as long as they've been working there. Others will state that, like their wonderful Queen, the hotel will always know what's needed for any occasion and make suitable preparations.

ARCADE

9/11 - 9/23

The arcade, if possible, seems even larger than the nightclub that once stood in its place. There are rows of pinball, action games, shooting games, driving games. An entire room of air hockey, and another of dancing games. Clusters of skee-ball, whack-a-mole, and claw machines. The floors seem to be eternally sticky with spilled soda, and the smell of pizza and sugar permeates the air. No matter how many patrons are within sight, the sound of laughter and excited shrieking somehow seems to echo throughout the arcade.

Token dispensers are scattered amongst the games. Hotel staff will be stationed at the snack bar and the prize counter, ready to hand out tokens or trade tickets won from the games for small prizes.

Occasionally, one of the games will spark and short out. If asked, hotel staff will say it's out of order and put up a sign proclaiming it so. They don't seem all that concerned about fixing it. Soon enough, it will seem to fix itself and switch back on. It will still spark every so often, and something about the music will seem off. Anyone who decides to play one of these games anyway will find themselves feeling slightly dizzy. Is the arcade spinning around them, or is that just them?

When the spinning stops, they will no longer be where they were before. They will find themselves in the middle of the game they had previously been playing, regardless of what it was. Welcome to the other side of the arcade — where the game play is more realistic than ever! Hopefully they had a partner brought in with them, or someone else comes along to try to play who can help them win the game to get back out.

MOVIE NIGHT

9/11 - 9/23

The entrance to the movie theater is lined with concession stands. Snacks and drinks of every kind can be picked up here before going into one of the theater's two auditoriums. Films will be playing round the clock in both, a different one on each screen. Oysters may find the same movies they would have seen on their own world, movies one might find on modern day Earth, or even movies about old folktales or traditional stories that might have been told where they were from. The only thing that will not be showing is any version of Alice in Wonderland, or any story set in Wonderland itself.

At times, particular showings may be billed as interactive. These will be of all genres: musicals, adventures, mysteries, romance, comedies, even horror. Oysters who attend these will be encouraged to dress up, and will even be shown to a dressing room with a selection of suitable clothes. It will only be after they've been seated and the film starts that what is meant by interactive will become clear.

The musicals will have sing alongs, with people from the audience being pulled up to participate in the dance numbers. The adventures and mysteries will have characters on the screen turn to the audience as though they are part of the story, inviting them along in the investigation or interrogating them as a suspect. Protagonists and antagonists alike will walk off the screen of horror movies, seeking help from or looking to torment the audience until their story is completed and they are sent back to their film world. Comedies and romances will find those in the audience being pulled up to act out parts of the story — and may find themselves transported into the setting until they do.

DAYCARE AND PLAYGROUND

9/11 - 9/23

The front of the daycare is small, with a place to check in and drop off or pick up kids. This is the only area that Oysters who are not either helping out at the daycare or being dropped off themselves will be able to easily access. Behind this are sectioned off areas for quieter activities, with materials such as books, art supplies, toys, etc. There's a small kitchen that will be off limits to the kids, and an area for snack time and nap time. Hotel staff are very present and interactive in these areas — reading to children, making crafts with them, telling stories, fixing snacks. Some will be taking a quiet break for themselves in the kitchen, and may be willing to talk to Oysters helping out at the daycare.

The back of the daycare is an expansive indoor playground. Here, the children are mostly left to their own devices. There are some hotel staff out there to keep an eye on the children as they play, but they tend to cluster together for conversation. Oysters helping out at the daycare will be somewhat warily included in this if they approach. These hotel staff will mostly be dismissive of any children coming to them unless they are injured or crying. There are multiple parts of the playground that can be used to sneak in and out to the hotel area at large, if one is looking carefully! Any children who are not supposed to be there have a low risk of being caught unless they draw attention to themselves or try to enter the other area of the daycare.

The other children in the daycare fall mostly between the ages of 6-11, with three or four outliers who appear to be toddlers or in the 12-13 age range. Astute Oysters likely to observe the behavior of the children will notice that there are clear social groups among them, as though they have known each other long enough to have friends they're accustomed to playing with. There are some who seem friendly and popular, some who seem to keep to themselves, some who seem to have good relationships with the hotel staff and others who seem determined to cause trouble, those who are bullies and those who are picked on. Their willingness to play with or answer questions from Oyster children or adults is equally as varied.

There will be a posted list of Oysters banned from helping out at the daycare. It will not be easily seen from the front of the daycare, but hotel staff will identify who is on it if asked. It will include the below names:

Itty Bitty Xian - 3 y/o - September 11th-13th

Wei Wuxian wakes up, stretching his hands over his head as he tries to pull himself out of that last little bit of sleepiness. When he looks up at his hands...well they are gone..except not really gone just unable to be seen because of some reason his sleeves are waaaaay too long. He sits up in bed and looks down at his clothing. Did his clothing suddenly stretch out while he was sleeping? That is strange...

He swings his legs over the side of the bed and immediately falls over as his feet get tangles in the pants that just fall right off of him. He sniffs a few times and tries to fight back the tears as he sits up and rubs at his knees. He's pouting as he looks around the room. Is this his room?

Pulling off the too big clothing he waddles around the room in just the upper tunic that is still too big but at least covers him. Suddenly there is a loud bang next to him and he scampers away from where it came from to hide behind the table. He peeks over it as a donkey drops his head over the half door.

Wei Wuxian's eyes widen and he sits up to stare at the large animal. He stands back up and wanders back over to the door, reaching up and going on his tiptoes to try and touch the donkey's nose. The donkey is equally as curious and strains his neck over the door to blow air at the familiar smelling hand. Realizing he can't quite reach, the donkey gives up and goes back in its paddock. Wei Wuxian pouts a little and looks around the room once more. As he starts to waddle over to the door, he stops when he notices something strange in a reflection. He brings his face very close to the shiny silver object as someone stares back at him from inside of it. He doesn't recognize the face but when he tries to look for a way to get them out, there is nothing. He waves at the person inside and they are waving back. Maybe he can get to the kid on the other side of the wall. He goes over to the door to try. Once again up on his tip toes he tries very hard to reach that handle and actually manages to get his finger tips onto it. The knob moves and the door opens just enough for him to get his fingers on the edge and tug it open.

Scurrying out the door quickly he once again falls flat on his fact, tripping on the bottom of the tunic in his hurry. This time he can't stop them as the tears finally start to come, sobbing over his sore knees as he lays on the floor.


Rowdy and Wild Wei Wuxian - 10 y/o - September 14-16

Wei Wuxian is in the arcade and seems to be doing some damage to a strange wack-an-animal game. He is letting out what appears to be some frustrations as he slams the padded mallet down on the poor creatures head with a force that is definitely unnecessary given this is a game. But he has been dealing with a lot of frustrations over the fact that he doesn't recognize himself in the mirror and has no idea where he is. No amount of calling for his Shijie has proven particularly useful and now the boy is feeling annoyed by everything.

Or he would be if this room wasn't terribly entertaining. He has played every game at least twice but he finds the most satisfaction out of whacking these stupid little creatures in the head.

"Change my appearance and kidnap me...when I find out who did it, your face will be imprinted on this mallet!!" Another forceful whack before stepping back from the game. It might be time for a cool down. He collects the extremely long line of tickets he has earned from his points at the games and carries them over to the counter where a staffer is helping people pick out prizes.

He slams the tickets down on the counter with an extremely pleased expression. He knows that this acts like currency in this world and he wants to cash in.

"Give me your finest prize that this many will get me!" The staffer looks at the tickets then goes behind the counter and pulls out bouncy ball and hands it over to him. Wei Wuxian stares at the ball and then looks up at the staffer.

"You're kidding right?" When the staffer indicates he is not, Wei Wuxian wrinkles up his nose in disgust but snatches the ball. He earned it so damnit..he's going to keep it.


Wild, Sexy and Free Wei Ying - 15 y/o - September 17-21

Wei Wuxian doesn't care that he isn't allowed in the movie theater at this time of night. His feet are up on the seat in front of him and he is about as relaxed and comfortable as anyone could be. As a 'zombie' come on the screen, he makes a face and tosses some popcorn towards it.

"That doesn't even look like a real zombie! Who came up with this? And why are they green?" He groans as it attacks someone and starts to eat their brain. For someone who has sneaked into the theater against the rules, you would think he would be a little quieter while basking in his crime. But he honestly doesn't care if he gets caught.

He is just about to put a fist full of popcorn in his mouth when someone with a crazy looking weapon comes out and with a series of very loud bangs takes the zombies head right off. This is Wei Wuxian's first experience with a gun. That entire handful of popcorn hits the ground as his eyes widen and his mouth drops. Even if those weren't real zombies that was a terribly effective way of dealing with them.

"What the hell was that!?"

Someone should probably collect him before he makes a huge mess of the movie theater.

He hears the cry of a small child as he's walking along the hall and quickly makes his way over to a small figure in grey and black and red sprawled on the floor.

"What's the matter, little one?" he asks, crouching down and trying to help the child sit up.

Wait. Red. Grey. Black. Familiar tunic. But the face isn't familiar. He keeps his features soft and kind for the little one, not wanting to scare him.

The sound of laughter and excited screaming is... certainly a new experience, for Lan Xichen. This place is already so different from Cloud Recesses, of course, but now even it's even more heightened. No one shushes whoever is making the noises, or even seems to notice them.

If he's honest with himself, he must admit that he enjoys the sound.

He's wandered about the arcade for a bit, trying his hand at a few of the games with some delight, when he hears someone displeased with the prize they were able to afford.

"Is there something you would like to have? Perhaps if we work together, we can win enough tickets for it."

15 year old wwx this time

Lan Xichen is just old enough that he didn't have to sneak in to see the movie, but the hotel staff had certainly looked at him in a little bit of concern as he'd gathered up some sweets before striding into one of the horror movies.

He is far less concerned - as a future Sect leader, he must be left unscathed by even the scariest of tales. And he'd quickly spotted someone he recognized, anyway, and made his way to sit next to Wei Wuxian, offering to share the sweets he has with him.

He doesn't comment on the fact that he's pretty sure Wei Wuxian isn't quite old enough to be in here, even if he'd gotten older than the first time they met these past few days. Instead, he hides his laughter at Wei Wuxian's commentary in his sleeve.

"Look, it's only drawn the attention of the other zombies around it! What use is that?"

He woke up in his room to find his own robes too loose and too big to wear. He finds clothes and a headband in his closet to fit, so he puts them on. He walks out to search for his uncle and brother with a rattle drum in one hand.

"...?" Once he's out and exploring searching for him, it's only then he noticed the child on the floor, crying and silently watches him from a distance. Upon coming closer, hearing him cry, he bends over curious and shakes his drum to distract him.

Adventures in Lan Babysitting - Sept 11 - Sept 15

Sizhui leaves his rooms and carefully tucks his key into his sleeve before walking down the halls. He frowns a little when he realizes that the hallways that he normally would recognize seem to have shifted and change. There is no gym, the one thing that he seems to have been using as his place marker when navigating around the hotel. When they finally seem to settle, he tilts his head in curiosity.

The gym itself seemed...to be a place that had small structures that were small enough for children to play on. He shuffles down the hallway to see if anything else has changed. There are new things that he hadn't seen before and the staff...seemed to be helpful in explaining what they were. But not so much why they were there. Or why they suddenly appeared; claiming that they had been there all the time.

He continues wandering a little until he sees the flash of familiar cloth. Perhaps Hanguang Jun or Wei-qianbei could give an explanation as to what is happening.

a-Yuan's wanderings - Sept 16 - Sept 23

The toddler wakes up and looks at the strange clothes that he seems to be wrapped up in. Why is he dressed similar to Rich Gege? a-Yuan giggles to himself and reaches up to feel along his forehead; he even had one of those headbands! He tugs on it a little then takes in his surroundings.

Where is Qing-jiejie? This doesn't look like the Burial Mounds.

He whines a little before wriggling down from the bed and makes his way to the door, finding it ajar enough to push open. He jumps back at how the door opens and hugs Rich Gege's clothes around him more before peeking out into the hallway.

Already, he begins to sniffle as he wanders down the hallway.

"Qing-jiejie?" he calls out.

A loud sound bangs behind him and he gives a frightened gasp before taking off running as best he could down the hallway.

"Xian gege!"

Lan babysitting!

The Lan robes in the rooms he'd woken up in had not quite fit him. They're for someone a little taller, a little broader in the chest and shoulders. Someone grown up. But he'd put them on anyway, tying them a little tighter to try to make up for it, because the other clothes in his room had been even more unfamiliar.

Although not as familiar as the hallways, as soon as he stepped into them. What he'd woken up in resembled Cloud Recesses so closely that he had assumed he'd perhaps been injured on a night hunt, unable to remember the events that had occurred, and brought somewhere in the region to recover, but this?

He has no answers for this.

It's with some relief that he sees someone wearing familiar clothing. A Lan disciple, although there is a pang of guilt that he doesn't recognize him. He is sixteen, far from a child, and the future Sect leader, he should know all of them.

I. Itty bitty - 10 years, the first few days
When he woke up in his room, he woke up in clothes too big and too lose for him. He was wondering if his clothes fit that of a senior, and if he would be in trouble for it. Still, he manages to find his own robes and headband to fit him. He puts them on and he finds his favorite toy rattle drum too which he caries around. He sees his rabbits, and he feeds them before heading out.

He can be found wandering in the lobby. He was seen playing in the arcade, trying to win a prize, and he holds a stuffed rabbit in his arms. He has gotten dizzy from playing too much. Each day he comes here, he wins more and more prizes until the staff become irritated with him, not sharing his prize, and they ushered him, shooing him out.

In the movie theatre, he watches all the cartoons to distract his sadness. It has been lonely living in the Jingshi, remembering his mother and he cries when a cartoon plays a talking rabbit along with the other animals, and eventually, becoming part of the movie, he plays with the rabbits and talking animals, drinking tea with them, and plays games with them and sing songs with them when they do their dance number. Playing the games and watching movies helps him forget his sadness and his loss of his mother.

At the daycare, he would look longingly at the other children in the playground, but in particular, he is also ignoring them with an air of indifference and a stony look in his gold-colored eyes. He sits on a chair in the lobby with a toy rattle drum in one hand and hugging his stuff rabbit doll close to his chest, with a sulking lonely look to whoever passes by.

II. 19 years old - later on the week
When he woke up, he woke up in clothes too big and too lose for him. He was wondering if his clothes fit that of a senior, and if he would be in trouble for it. Still, he manages to find his own robes and headband to fit him. He cannot find his swords and arrows and bows. He sees his rabbits, and he feeds them before heading out.

He didn't find the arcade terribly interesting. He has no interest in playing. The movies he find, however, are a wonderous thing, in particular, he watches the adventures and the romances. Each time he sees a romance movie, he walks away with a dazed look on his face. He doesn't mind wearing the costumes, performing the sing-alongs as Mikumo's star singer ability gives him the ability to captivate the audience using the power through his voice, and dancing to the musical with a dazed look as if he is in a dream, a very lonely, sad dream. If only the singing and dancing can ebb the pain of his loneliness away, as he tries to understand the maze in his heart over the One that Got Away. He wonders if this is what being in love felt like...?

III. 20 years old - toward the end of the week

When he woke up in searing pain, he was bleeding from the deep gashes of his wounds on his back. All from 33 open wounds from the whiplashes for each senior he injured to defend for him. It's difficult to get up from bed to start the day because of the pain. He sees his rabbits, and he feeds them before heading out.

He needs to changes his bandages since the blood-soaked through the bandages. His white robes are stained with his blood. He hobbles to the spa, and thankfully, he get some treatment for his wounds from the staff, but he found they don't like him for the most part, so he was given a medic kit, and slowly hobbles out, walking with great difficulty as he felt like his whiplash wounds are freshly open.

It's only when he has taken a short rest in the lobby where the wounds are great, and he almost fainted on one of the sofas as his wounds are bleeding through his robes, staining white with crimson when the angry pain of his wounds makes him exhausted. "Please help..." He muttered as he needs help with caring and dressing his wounds to stop the bleeding and the pain.

He had been wandering and crying for a long time, not knowing where he was or where everyone was. Were they angry with him. a-Yuan feels odd walking around in the white robes, like a funeral. But they are the only clothes he could find. The shirt has streaks of dried tears and snot and he still hasn't found anyone that looked familiar nor has he found anything that was like home.

Somehow he makes it to the lobby and sees someone in white. He makes his way over, feeling a sense of safety with him. Something about him reminds him of Rich-gege and he promptly makes his way over and holds onto his leg. The feeling is similar even if the face is not familiar. His little body hiccups with sniffles. He finally looks up.

"Do you know Rich-gege?"

[Early on in the event, Kiara's still her usual self. And she's certainly intrigued by the new changes to the hotel. Okay, she's a little disappointed the spa is now a movie theater, but it's nothing she can't get over. She can also deal with the layout changing around here, though occasionally it's possible to catch her in the halls looking a little exasperated with the whole thing, even her patience seemingly has limits.

Though it's truly hard for her to be too upset with things given recent gifts. She's quite pleased with the recent teas she's acquired, even if she hasn't quite let anyone in on what she's regained. Maybe she will. At some point. But that's not important right now.

What's important is the sudden influx of children into the hotel. Where did they come from? Whose kids are they? She's certainly curious about that, but she figures she won't get anywhere asking the staff. And she won't badger the children about it either, that would just be cruel. Instead, she'll just speculate about it with her fellow Oysters.

Though, if anyone wants to talk to her while she's still an adult, there isn't too much time for that since...]

[Soon she'll find herself much younger and without any memories of the entire mess that is her adult self. And yes, it was a little scary at first, waking up in a strange place without any of the faces she's used to seeing and having to use the Empathy's translator more often (since she lacks the language skills her older self has). Even weirder that she's been encouraged to try the various attractions in the hotel instead of sticking to her room, she isn't used to that at all. But she figures that so long as the staff says it's okay, then it must be okay, right?

So she'll at least give the arcade a shot, she's never had the chance to try skee ball or play wack a mole and she's certainly enjoying it, even if she's not sure the targets are supposed to disappear like that. She doesn't seem to spend too long playing any of the games though, taking frequent breaks so she doesn't tire herself out. But after a while, she seems to have acquired a mass of tickets and start making a beeline for the prize counter.]

[Kiara will also spend a fair bit of time in the daycare. While it's tempting to run wild, she knows she probably shouldn't. So spending time with the other kids in a more relaxing setting seems like a good idea. Sure, she's a little wise beyond her years, but she also adores storytime, and wouldn't miss that for the world, so her decision making isn't entirely health related.

...but maybe she enjoys storytime a little too much as at some point during the event, she'll have absconded with a mermaid tail from the movie theater's dressing room and will insist to anyone who asks that she's the Little Mermaid. The older her would probably be mortified by this, but since she's not around right now, there's just the younger Kiara's joy at getting to dress up as her favorite storybook character. And hang out with other kids too!]

[She would not be the only child that finds the mass array of games and lights tempting yet exhausting but much like her he too has acquired quite a bundle of tickets which he had opted to wrap around himself, his arms his neck and shoulders and he holds them unsure of what to do with them. In fact, they tickets are even dragging along the ground after him as he walks.

Seeing the girl walking with purpose Giyu stops in his track, that is right in front of her. He tries holding out the tickets to her because perhaps she is collecting them all. So far this is the part he hadn't understood the purpose of the games and the tickets they spit out.]

What do I do with all this? [Wait! Would she understand him. He had been having some pretty bad luck in the language department so far.]

( one. ) wandering

[The completely befuddled expression upon his face should not come as a surprise to anyone if they knew this child came from a completely different era and had been living near a secluded mountain where his training had been taking place. There is great care in the way he roams through the unfamiliar halls but if anyone where to observe him it would be noted that he seemed to be in search of something. Those silent steps get him around the hotel, but he stays close to the walls as he walks looking about cautiously. It's not out of fear. Even at only thirteen he is meant to take the last step to become a full fledged demon slayer so he is naturally cautious of his surroundings specially one so unfamiliar to him.

Now his biggest worry is that he had lost the sword Mr. Urokodaki had intended for him to use during the exam. He was in big trouble! He knows he would upset his teacher and while there was a threat looming over him about being punished he still has no explanation about how this came to be. Or even of where he was. Which has him suspecting one too many things. Specifically he wonders if something of a demonic nature brought him here. Did that mean he was in danger?

It's now more than ever he wishes he still had that sword but anything to defend himself would do as long as he didn't run into a demon. But this is an hotel. What are the chances that he would find a weapon just lying around? For the moment he covers his face with the warding mask given to him by Urokodaki. Then he continues wandering but now he feels a little more inclined to begin opening doors to peer inside, no matter what might be behind said doors. So this boy whose face is hidden behind a fox mask has become a bit more bold but at least he is polite enough to offer a greeting to anyone inside.]

Hello. Sorry. [But there is something he wants to ask and he doesn't get it out right away.]

( two. ) arcade

[There comes a point when he ends up in this brightly lit and very noisy place and it almost looks like the whole thing intimidates him. He hasn't ever seen such a place before. How could anyone stand it? There was too much going on at once but he still had to continue his search it's what prompts him to take the steps necessary to make his way right inside. While he cannot truly get himself used to everything happening around him he doesn't miss what is going on and figures out how the coin dispensers work from watching other people. It's also easy to understand how to get the games running with the coins.

But ultimately the games are a little trickier to understand and he is trying to comprehend their purpose. Most of his playing involved his friend but he was here alone. Although looking around he did note plenty of people were enjoying these things by themselves. Giyu decides to give each game a try once obviously distracted from his initial purpose of coming in here. And it takes a few rounds for him to realize what happened.

He would slap his own cheeks with his eyes closed tight.] No, no. Focus. [That's what he had to do instead of playing another round of whack-a-mole.]

( three. ) movie night

[It can be said he was a introverted child and he definitely had a preference to the familiar but given the circumstances he has no choice but to try to understand what exactly is happening here. He had to return to Mt. Sagiri, he had something important to do, but of course he had to find his sword first before he returned. Then he could be on his way to Final Selection with his friend.

He isn't sure when but Giyu had ended up in a line which led to the concessions stand and the smells were enticing. He wasn't going to pass up on snacking here which is why he ended up in one of the theaters. The screen or the happening around him isn't what his attention is on but rather all the odd snacks he was handed.

So when the interactive part of the show starts it completely catches him off guard. Which leaves him to flounder about and shake his head surprised that he hadn't picked up on what was happening around him. He even feels his cheeks grow warm with embarrassment and shame that something had been sprung up without his notice. Surely if this had been a dangerous situation he could have been hurt or worse. Now he is more determined to remain on guard and find his weapon.]

( four. ) daycare

[Giyu is one of those kids who pretty much kept to himself despite appearing to be friendly enough or willing to help anyone who needed help but at the moment his mind was focus on getting back to his training. While he might be ready to begin that final test it did not mean he should let up but without having found his sword he had instead opted to use a foam bat to swing as if it were his usual weapon. It didn't have the same weight or feel yet he continued on even counting under his breath and it was clear he had been at it for quite a while. There was no intention for him to stop that is until some kids were on a trajectory with him. It was only then that he took a step back and stopped his swinging to let them pass through without whacking any of them.

He looks on after them almost curious about what they were up to and he allows this distraction to pull him away. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad if he followed them?]

Wei Wuxian | The Untamed

Wei Wuxian was no stranger to falling asleep anywhere and everywhere he happened to find himself. So the unfamiliar cave was new, but he didn't pay it as much mind as he perhaps ought to have. Curiosity came first, rummaging through a number of things that looked like they belonged to him, even if they were oversized. Still, it wasn't that hard to hitch things a bit higher, belt them a bit tighter. Especially given how nice these robes looked. He was no stranger to holding onto things he could grow into.

Once properly dressed, he found there was no sign of Suibian, and while he could be fairly cavalier about most things, he'd hate to think he'd misplaced it. Or lost it somehow. He began searching top to bottom, but eventually came up empty. No sign of it, though there were a number of odd bottles and plenty of his papermen already cut out and marked in his handwriting.

Had he had too much to drink last night? Even so, to misplace Suibian was careless, even for him. That thought put aside, he tried the oddly out of place door, and began wandering out into the hotel proper.

Arcade (15 y/o)
Flashing lights, loud sounds, and boisterous laughter? Wei Wuxian felt right at home. He could feel the excitement thrumming in the air, and spent a good while observing the other children as they played before attempting the games himself. It was like nothing he'd ever seen! Games of luck, games of skill, games with moving pictures of fantastical places and things. And he could win prizes! It was the sort of thing just made for his competitive nature.

Wei Wuxian can be found throughout the arcade, spun sugar in one hand, fat stacks of tickets in the other, or perhaps even trying to pry one of the machines open, looking to get to those tickets just a little faster. Gotta earn enough for that deluxe looking mood ring, after all.

Movie Night (15 y/o)
The novelty of a story told with moving pictures on a screen grows stale after a boring romance and something aimed at toddlers. Later in the day though, the offerings change, and Wei Wuxian is very interested in the horror-themed movies, though the people in them seem to make the dumbest mistakes! And why wouldn't they just seek out a cultivator to help with those hauntings?

His wish is granted, when he attends one of the more interactive versions, but still, a story is just a story, right? This is more like a play. No one is actually getting murdered, right? Even if that body does look awfully realistic, and that dark figure's knife awfully sharp. He's not about to run from danger though, and even with nothing more dangerous than the inflatable guitar he won in the arcade, he's still trying to swat at the mysterious murderers and evil spirits.

Feel free to find him battling it out with horrific creatures, or falling asleep, head lolled back in his seat during a particularly mushy romance.

Daycare and Playground (7 y/o)

Wei Ying looks a bit of a mess. Hair styled on his own, an attempt at tying it back with a red ribbon has been made, though the tails almost drag the floor. He hadn't been able to find any clothing in his size, running around in an oversized shirt and loose belt before he was directed to the store with clothing for children.

He doesn't have any money, he tries to insist, and even seems a little wary when they let him leave, still wearing the new comfy trousers that tie at the waist, and a soft shirt with closures that his fingers fumble on, but eventually get the hang of. The staff direct him toward the daycare next, and he breathes a bit easier, seeing other children his own age. Are Shijie and Jiang Cheng here too?

The adults are unfortunately not so helpful, shooing him away to play, even when he asks where Jiang Shushu is, and does he know that Wei Ying is here? He hopes he has better luck talking to the kids here.

a-Yuan had been wandering around for a long time and his legs are tired. His eyes feel dry from crying so much and his throat hurts from crying out so much for his family. He turns down a hallway when he sees a familiar flash of red ribbon in dark hair and black robes.

He runs as quickly as his legs can carry him and immediately situates himself to clinging to Xian-gege's leg. Xian-gege would know what to do.

"Xian-gege, where are Qing-jiejie and Ning-shushu? a-Yuan looked everywhere."

[ Lan Wangji is annoyed, and refuses to go back to his room because it's weird in there. Anyone who isn't affected by the age-down will still recognize him even though he's a young teen, because he actually hasn't aged, physically, since those days.

He's not allowed in the Daycare for some reason, but you can find him skulking about, training in the gym, playing guqin, or walking around trying very hard not to like the same activities that a certain someone else likes.

Somehow, he seems to have won a large stuffed animal at the arcade, and he goes up to the nearest person to offer it to them. ]

[ Lan Wangji wakes up one morning and he's very confused, because he seems to be in the Cloud Recesses and around him are some Lans he doesn't know. He doesn't make a sound as he climbs out of bed in robes that are too big for him, hiking them up as far as they'll go, and looking quite ridiculous.

In the middle of the event, Lan Wangji has turned into a sad angsty five-year-old, who can be found generally sulking up the place, barely holding it together.

He seems to be a well-behaved and independent little tot, but unfortunately, that can only go so far. He stands on his tippie-toes in line at the buffet, but he clearly is in need of some assistance. ]

[ Okay, so maybe he's not young-looking. Or young. But he certainly is younger, walking around, very confused, and slightly embarrassed by his wings being on full display.

Eventually, they assign him to be taking care in the daycare, and he is. Lost. He has never really been good with children, any more than his miracles allow, but thankfully he's got Crowley's miracles.

So if you happen to be a child near him upset, don't be. Aziraphale has a lollipop for you, that appeared out of nowhere. If you've tripped and fell, don't worry, let Aziraphale patch it up. There there, good as new. ]

DOES YOUR MOTHER KNOW THAT YOU'RE OUT

[ Towards the end of the event, Aziraphale wakes up in a body he's never owned and has assumed that Heaven issued him another one while he wasn't looking.

Miraculously, all his clothes fit perfectly, as he wanders the halls looking for a sign of his new assignment. Surely there was a reason that he was now about waist-high, even more cherubic-looking than he had previously, still with blue eyes and a mass of white-blond curls on his head. ]

Ah, excuse me.

He came into the daycare because he wanted to ask them, the daycare staff, again to tell him where his brother was or to send him home, and the fact that someone knew and different is in here is not going to stop him.

Shushu, have you seen my little brother? He's three and he's got black hair and dark eyes and he's like this big, and everybody says he's at home, but why take me if they're not going to take him too, huh?

September 11th-18th, 9 y/o
(1) Out and About [Hallways/General Areas]
He woke up in a bed that was much too big, in clothes way too big, and with his hair all over his face and head instead of tied back with a braid, like his a-niang would have insisted on. He couldn't find Baxia either, and that was bad - his a-die would make him run a thousand drills and kneel in the ancestral hall for days if he'd lose the saber he'd only just gotten the right to use.

Fixing his hair was easy to deal with - handling his clothes wasn't, and he had to dig and dig until he found something he could actually wear. But once that was done, and he'd found clothes that actually fit him?

He was off and exploring the halls. That was where he was now - exploring the halls, a dark frown on his youthful face as he roamed. Nie Ju - Mingjue, he'd gotten his courtesy name to use properly, when he was presented with his saber - was no longer worried about getting punished for misplacing Baxia, and was in fact increasingly sure that he'd gotten kidnapped somehow. These long halls with their many doors were absolutely nothing like home or anywhere else he'd ever been, and he didn't remember leaving home.

And he would definitely remember coming somewhere as weird as this place so. Obviously he was kidnapped! And if someone was willing to take him, there was no way they would have just left poor A-Sang alone...

"HEYYYY!!! Somebody tell me where I am or else!"

(2) Hunting for Trouble [Arcade]

Okay so fine, he was definitely stuck here, and he was definitely not happy about it, but there were some pretty cool things about this place.

The arcade was one of them, and the 'shooting' games were one of the best things, besides the skee ball. There was something satisfying about the way the 'guns' just blasted holes in the enemies with a click-click, and in the skill it took to aim and throw the ball right into the high score pit. He'd spent half the day in this place, racking up point after point and ticket after ticket, and he's taking aim at the last wave of enemies on this level when the machine starts to spark and then dies with a wheezing rattle of sound as the game freezes up.

"What? No! Come on, I was winning!"

If those shouts aren't enough to draw someone over, the noise from him kicking the game just might be.

September 19th-23rd, 15 y/o
(3) Mindless Entertainment [Movies]

His father was dead, he was trapped somewhere only the heavens knew, and his little brother, the only family he had left in all the world, was missing. Or he was missing. The distinction was unimportant, when what it meant was that he couldn't protect Huaisang anymore than he could protect his father. It was as infuriating as it was exhausting, and a person could only beat their fists against the walls for so long before they just sat.

That was what Nie Mingjue was doing - sitting, and staring into space. He didn't even know what movie he'd walked into, and he didn't care, at least not until one of the characters ran right off the screen and threw herself into his lap, voice a high-pitched giggle. He scowled in disgust and shoved the character off of him, into the lap of whatever unfortunate soul was sitting next to him.

He isn't the only kid hanging out in the arcade. Ten-year-old Lan Wangji is playing all the games too, trying to win as many tickets as he can to win all the prizes, mostly rabbits toys, dolls, and plushies. He carries a doll in his arms as he plays each game.

He noticed the other boy, who wears the same style of the Qinghe Nie Sect and set out to destroy the machines in his temper and fury. "Hello." He said and makes a bow. "Don't kick those or they won't let you play anymore."

THE ARCADE

It isn't long after he'd woken up in unfamiliar surroundings - well, technically, his room is quite familiar, it's only everything else that seems strange - that he finds his way to the arcade. The noises of the games, the sound of other children laughing, the general excitement in the air - it's somewhat overwhelming, but not necessarily in a bad way.

Lan Xichen is sixteen, now, a Sect heir who has been training to take over almost since birth, who has read every book in the Library Pavillion and memorized all of the Lan rules, who has visited the lands of most of the other Sects, and yet he has never seen anything like this.

It only reinforces his growing belief that the all the answers of the world do not lie, entirely, in books and rules.

Which means, for the moment, despite not being sure where he is, he's a little bit delighted with the room. He's still wearing the Lan robes that he woke up in, though they're clearly made for someone taller and broader, and he's done his best to tie them tighter to make up for it. The sleeves are, he must admit, a little bit cumbersome, but it doesn't stop him from trying his hand at all of the games.

"It is a good thing that Uncle is not here," he muses to himself as he finds that he very much enjoys playing many of them.

Before long, he has a stack of tickets that he isn't quite sure what to do with. He turns to the person nearest him, offering them up.

"Would you like these?"

MOVIE NIGHT

He has, with somewhat reluctance and somewhat slightly guilty curiosity, admitted the wearing his oversized robes for as long as he is here is not practical. He still wears his forehead ribbon and hairpiece, of course, but otherwise he wears what the hotel staff were kind enough to suggest for him - a pair of white trousers that are a little too tight for his comfort, a sky blue long-sleeved button up shirt, and a long, slate colored overcoat - as he enters the movie theater.

The musicals are his favorite, and he's more than happy to sing along when prompted. He tries them all, though, both alone and with the others he's come to know here. He hadn't caught the genre of the movie playing now, only that it, too, is being billing as interactive, and he turns to the person next to him.

"Did you catch what is meant by interactive for this type of film?"

PLAYGROUND

When he is not getting up to the kinds of things he knows his uncle would not approve of or looking after the children he has come to consider himself responsible for - or when he is bringing at least one of them to the daycare to play with the other children - he helps out there, watching all of the children.

His favorite are the quieter areas inside, of course, as they come more naturally to him. He can be found telling stories, helping children paint or make other crafts, or attempting to prepare snacks in the kitchen.

But he's also happy to help out in the playground, particularly when he notices that the other daycare staff out there are not quite as attentive as they could be. He attempts to make up for it, then, readily jumping in to push someone on a swing or play hide and seek when asked, and tending to both real and perceived injuries when they occur.

He doesn't know what he is looking at as he wanders around the rather noisy arcade. It's all so gaudy and bright and unlike anything he has ever encountered before. This place he has been kidnapped to is certainly energetic and full of all the things he is supposed to be avoiding for his cultivation training.

As he makes his way around a set of machines he comes to a stop when someone holds out a string of strange tickets to him. He looks down at them and then up at the teen in white who looks to be about his age.

"I'm not sure what you expect me to do with those." His tone is not unkind but it might come off with a slightly superior tone to it. The crown prince is not used to people simply speaking to him so informally.

Xie Lian | Heaven Officials Blessing

Hallway
The first thing Xie Lian notices when he wakes up is that this is definitely not his chambers. Never in his life has he seen such a run down and awful looking temple. He wonders what poor god is being honored with this place. He lowers his feet down to the ground and looks around for his clothing but all he can seem to find are some worn out white cultivation robes. What a nightmare...

The fourteen year old crown prince pulls those robes on but is determined to find more suitable clothing. He sticks his head out the door, "Where are you, Feng Xin? Something is amiss.." He is clearly the focus of some sort of elaborate prank and he is not pleased.

As he looks down the hallway he becomes even further perplexed. This is nothing like the palace or the temple. Stepping out into the hallway he puts his hands on his hips, "What is going on here? Someone needs to give me some answers!"

Arcade

He has finally obtained clothing that is still quite below his normal standards but far better then the torn robes of before. A long white tunic with golden toggles and embroidery that extends up from the bottom hem. No one seems to want to answer his questions about where he is or whom it was that kidnapped him but he will figure it out by doing a little more in depth investigating.

He wanders into the arcade and stares at the strange arrangement of devices that are all making various forms of noise and music that is swelling into just one loud obnoxious noise. He wonders how any one can stand it..except there are kids everywhere so clearly they can't hear it or have become immune to it.

He stops and watches someone playing for a few minutes, curious by what he is observing. He reaches out and taps the person on the shoulder, "Excuse me..what exactly are you doing?" And why...

Movie

Xie Lian hasn't given up on getting answers or getting home but as the days go by he has decided that sometimes it is just easier to relax and try to clear his head. The hotel is simply too loud for normal meditation methods so he has decided to try something else. He has been informed that the movies can be a good place to find other worlds. And so thinking it might be the key to getting out of there, he heads into one of the theaters.

He settles into one of the seats and waits for the screen to turn on. "If I can request the world this shows me, then please take me back to my own."

Apparently the movie isn't going to listen as a modern romance comes onto the screen.

"Ah...this won't do..."

II. Arcade

The person playing the video game is a child. By his age, he is around ten years old and wears a white robe and a white headband around his head, the fashion belonging to the Lan sect. He already won a roll of tickets and having a basket of coins to insert into the machine to keep the game running.

On his lap, he holds a big rabbit doll. When he was tapped, he turns around and shyly hides tucking his head into the animal at first while the game machine is running. Finally, he lowers the doll down once he sees it's not a cold staff member who wants to shoos him out.

"Playing game...?" He answered.

Mikumo Guynemer | Macross Delta

[Very early and very late into the de-aging incident, Mikumo can't be found in the hotel. Not in her usual shape, at least, but not as a child either.

Instead, she may be encountered as an eye-catching woman covered in lines and swirls that appear to be tattoos but look awfully like moving space from certain angles. They show through her clothing here and there, a white dress that covers what needs to be covered but has some creative design choices to better show the markings, though she's recognisable enough as Mikumo. The blue in her hair has shifted to a much darker shade, and there's a huge flower sticking out of it that she doesn't normally wear, but otherwise she's not unrecognisably different.

She wanders the hotel with a bizarrely detached air that's noticeable even by Mikumo's usual standards, though, observing the facilities as if they're rather quaint and old-fashioned. While she isn't impolite upon encountering others in the hotel, she does regard them with a momentary, scrutinising look before speaking in a gentle, but somewhat emotionless tone.]

Rather a quaint accommodation, is it not, little one? [She speaks like something ancient and aged talking to a child, regardless of whether or not she's actually addressing a child.]

[Though the return of her previous form is...disconcerting, to say the least, Mikumo never got over anything by sitting around doing nothing. Unfortunate fact of the matter is that the easiest thing to distract herself with in the hotel currently is helping out in the daycare, even if her experience with children is close to zero.

It's not all bad, though. Mikumo is straightforward about breaking up fights, if nothing else, and very good at being just evasive enough about questions that the kids keep wanting to ask her things. She's planning to move around to the staff eventually, but she figures she might as well take the chance to learn how children normally behave while she's here.

If a child approaches her, she'll offer a ready smile and lean down a little to speak to them. Her hair ended up in a bun as soon as the first attempt to pull it occurred within about five seconds of her offering to help out.]

Do you need something?

[If another helper approaches, she'll offer a nod of greeting and glance over to the other staff members before speaking quietly.]

Do you think it's about time to open up a dialogue? They seem somewhat more candid than the usual staff.

[Mikumo is very familiar with movies as a concept, but she's never actually watched any given how busy she tends to be back home. This feels like as good a time as any even if she thinks she's going to end up with some reason to regret it by the end.

The interactive elements...well, it's about the best she could ask for in terms of things going badly. She's used to presenting a stage face, though she can't help but arch a brow when a participant in one of the romances tries to draw her out of the audience to join in.]

If you want someone more experienced with romance, I suggest you pick them. [Pointing to literally whoever happens to be seated near her, because she's willing to bet any Oyster in this hotel has more experience with it than her.]

Xie Lian feels a bit scandalized by the woman in white that he encounters in the lobby. Never before has he seen a woman in so few layers before. He wonders if he should cover his eyes out of respect or perhaps she is a working woman and this is her domain that he unknowingly wandered into. Either way the crown prince is feeling mild embarrassment over what he is seeing.

And unfortunately she is talking to him, which means he can't be completely rude and must acknowledge her.

"The accommodations are interesting, if not a little unseemly. My bedroom is quite lacking and the hospitality is as well." He hasn't been able to get a straight answer about anything from any of the staff since being here and it is a bit infuriating.

Crowley ⛧ Good Omens

Pre-Fall [Open]

[ Janthiel (he's thinking about changing it - the 'J' just isn't doing it for him right now) doesn't look terribly different from Crowley. His hair is longer, falling in ringlets over his shoulders, and his eyes completely gold without the serpentine slits for pupils. His wings and attire are still black and there remains a certain snake-like quality to the way he walks.

He's also significantly less scaly.

Janthiel is wandering around aimlessly, quite in awe at all the innovation before him, flitting from one thing to another. The arcade in particular fascinates him and it's not long before his inquisitive nature has him trying to surreptitiously open up a machine to get a look inside. ]

[ Matt had woken up in an unfamiliar room without any adults he trusted and worst of all without his strengthened senses. He nearly tripped getting out of bed on the oversized pants on his legs and that adrenaline rush was enough to make him panic as he examined his body and felt out his strange surroundings, praying someone he knew would come in. He listened to sounds outside the door of the room- there were people wherever he was.

Eventually he found fitting clothes laid out on a chair and he ventured out into the hotel. The staff was only a little helpful. They claimed he was a guest and pointed him toward a place to eat but they kept brushing off his questions about where the Sisters or other children were. He even tried asking for Stick but was told to try the foliage near the swimming pool.

Eventually he's too hungry to ignore one of the dining areas but he hesitates even when there's food on the plate in front of him, frowning and looking very stern for an eleven or twelve year old child. ]

[ He recites the words to himself but looks embarrassed when his stomach growls. ]
