It has been quiet around the hotel other then the fact that there is snow everywhere and the staff seems to be in a festive mood. After some discussions about holidays they discover that this is a time of the year when people gather with families and celebrate. So it was only natural that this large, unique, extended family should all come together and enjoy a meal together and reflect over their time in the hotel.

So the dining area has been decorated with red and gold and green, christmas trees are brightly lit around the room. Music plays softly over the speakers and a large buffet of food is out for all to enjoy. A fire crackles in the fireplace warming the room so that they snow has been melted away and won't make people want to rush back to the warmth of their rooms.mo

Come and enjoy the festivities, share gifts with one another, tell stories and simply enjoy the company and expectations for the coming year.

Wei Wuxian is happy that they can all get together like this. Their futures are all so unknown, with never being sure when any of them might head home. For some of them it would mean they would never meet again and that is a sad thought. So Wei Wuxian is happy to have the reasons to come together whenever they can.

The way the hotel has been quiet lately is a little concerning but he tries not to worry about it. The last time they were able to be together some terrible things happened. He is hopeful that such things will never happen again. He wants to be able to enjoy this festive feeling and share these moments with the ones he loves.

Food
He already has a large plate of food and has settled at the table to enjoy it. He actually has..several..large plates of food. But he doesn't think he will have any trouble enjoying all of it. He wants to be able to taste all the different things that they have cooked for them because he doesn't know how long he has before he will never get to try them again.

And there are a lot of good looking desserts to try after the meal is done...

Seated at the fire
The last time he sat in front of the fire like this he showed him a future of himself and Lan Wangji traveling together. He knows that this means eventually he will get to go home and that they will be together even there.

Now he simply sits in front of the fire and enjoys the warmth with a nice warm cup of hot cider in his hands. It's nice to hear the voices of the people he loves around him.

Fine Dining
Things have been rather mellow, aside from the all-out snow-fights. He's lingered around staff and overheard enough discussion to have an idea of what the holiday decor is about. Wonderland seems to have a number of strange holidays, but he can get behind the idea of giving gifts to loved ones and sharing a meal. Not only is it a comfort, it reminds them of who is still here, still surviving.

He sits close to Lan Zhan, knees bumping, indulging in the simple joy of casual touches and one-another's company. Wei Wuxian has been slipping the occasional seasoned vegetable onto Lan Zhan's plate, while trying a variety of the holiday offerings himself. They have both sweet and savory potatoes, whipped smooth and fluffy, candied meats, and the number of desserts is staggering, so Wei Wuxian only picks a few, enjoying the unique scent of spices, like cinnamon and clove.

While he only gives his husband vegetables he might actually enjoy, Wei Wuxian picks over his plate occasionally slips a bit of something he's found he doesn't like onto the plates of those around him, and is absolutely shameless enough to look innocent about it.

Making Merry

After trying eggnog, Wei Wuxian decides he liked the hot mulled wine a lot more. A couple glasses have him feeling warm and cozy and just in the right spirit for this gift-giving tradition. He's taken some time tinkering, now that he can use his spells and talismans again, and while the gifts aren't large or ostentatious, they're made with heart and handed out in small hand-made boxes.
